Biography
Zelda hails from a small town in a valley hiding in Appalachia. She wended her way North to attend NYU's prestigious Tisch School of the Arts, where she majored in Drama, studying at Playwrights Horizons Theater School and Stonestreet Studios, and minored in Creative Writing.
Zelda has worked with a variety of theater companies, including Misfit Toys, Instant Shakespeare Rep, Mir Productions, The GRIT Theater Co., Snorks & Pins Productions, and Shakespeare Forum, as well as cofounding Hip Obscurity.
As a writer, Zelda has had four one-acts produced in New York, including Evidence, which played at Theatre Row as part of the largest solo show festival in the world, United Solo. Her collection of poetry and short fiction, This Is What They Made It Out Of, is available digitally. She currently maintains two review blogs. Recently she has collaborated on several articles and chapters on musical theater for Routledge, Oxford, and several journals.
